So yesterday at 5 pm I finished caulking my bath tub for the THIRD time since becoming a homeowner. You think being a perfectionist at knitting is bad, try being like that with caulk. The stuff takes 24 hours to cure and considering there is but one bathroom in this place you have to plan ahead to be not showering but bathing in the sink. Have you ever tried washing hair that is about 3" from you bum in the kitchen sink? There is much cursing of the drain and neck soreness from all that freaking hair. Having said that, I love my hair and can not wait until it actually reaches my bum, that will be the longest it has ever been. I actually fear when I will have to get it cut as it will be like losing a major part of my life. Last time I "chopped" it off I cried.
As for the knitting, my love of this bag is currently at a negative amount. From now on I am going to learn from this and ignore the patterns suggested needle size when I see fit. Honestly who knits double stranded worsted weight on size 7 needles? Its like making cardboard!
The socks are still not started, what can I say I was busy painting and caulking and getting a headache from the fumes. I also have the dilemma of trying to figure out what gauge to knit them at.
On a closing note I have Quad in a clothes basket with a cat toy and he is having a BLAST! The toy never strays to far from him and he is building up experience with slippery surfaces. Its hard to walk on tile with 3 feet that are covered with fur... For those that might be wondering, he can no longer be contained with the "wall" and now basically has free run of the house. This means you have to look before you move at all times and cords are now in grave danger.
