As far as knitting goes I have been doing a little here and there. I have a book of patterns that interested me, all of which are out of books at the public lib. I did a swatch of one pattern and to get gauge I would have had to knit on size 0 and that is just not gonna happen so that pattern is SOL. I also had a pattern to make a shower bag out of plastic bags that were stripped so I have all those made I just have to put them together. I also found some 100% wool in my stash so I am making little coasters to felt and see how that goes. Just a little practice kind of thing so I know how to do it when it comes to a bigger project. After all if I know how to felt things then I will also know how to not felt them. I also cast on for another washcloth for myself, this one is on size 7 rather than 8 just to see how it turns out and all that. Lastly I have a pattern for a little knitting bag and I found some wonderful yarn in the stash, Lion Brand Homespun, Cobalt.
<- its more blue in real life but oh so pretty. Its knit up on size 19's with the yarn held double to make gauge. I have one side done and just have to finish the other side and then get some handles and I'll be done. Basically I have a lot of things started and they are all in various stages of life.In non-knitting news I had an interview on Tuesday for a job that I really want and they said they would be getting back to me. I think they just have to check references, job history and so on. But the latest they will be getting back to me is the 4th of APRIL! That seems so far away but good news is that they get back to you either way so its not like I am gonna be hanging for the whole time, hopefully.
The little kitties are doing good but Shilo is still boycotting her meds and that has me a little worried but she'll be fine in the end I am sure. I should prolly check up on her more, shes mainly moms kitty, as the vet said if shes not getting better in a week that we should call again for another visit.
We also went to the home and garden show awhile ago and mom dumped my name in every box for people that do windows in mobile homes so I am getting those calls now too. So far 2 calls and only one person would even come out and look at the windows. The other person was quite rude about the fact that our walls are not the "standard" thickness and therefore their windows would not fit "thankyouforyourtimeandgoodbye" kind of call.
I should prolly get my bum in gear though as I got a call this morning that I have to work 4:30 - 7:30 tonight at walmart because one of the crew is under the weather. So until next time...
P.S. I really want this job so cross your fingers/toes/eyes/arms/legs/everythings
