I know I already posted but I feel the urge to share my "news."
After spending a good portion of the morning doing really nothing at all I got out of the house and went to the only LYS in the area. The rest of the yarn supply comes from places like Wal-Mart. Which has little to choose from when one is hunting sock yarn. So I went in and after feeling the yarn up, and reading the labels I and of course talking to the ladies that run the shop I made a choice. I also got to see a newly completed lace shawl, the Icarus Shawl, that made me think maybe I'll work on a shawl of some type, later. Anyway having made my choice I was still hung up on one thing, how much do I need? So the nice lady helped me out, based on mom's shoe size I need 1 skein but I have 2 for safety reasons. They told me I could return the unused yarn. I of course replied that would be crazy and was congraduated on being a "sane" person. Overall this is the first really good knitting related experience that I have had, ever. Most of the time its just people asking me what I am doing and being in awe. I also entered my name to win a nice wooden drop spindle so perhapds then I can justify taking a spinning class and some fiber.
Anywho its time for me to get to bed, gotta work in the morning.
